This Privacy Policy explains how KartX ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information across our Customer, Partner (Shop Owner), Delivery Partner, and Admin applications (together, the "Services").

            By using KartX, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
        

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information depending on which app you use:

Account information: name, mobile number, email address.
Address and location: delivery address, GPS coordinates, and live location (for delivery partners while on active orders).
Order information: items purchased, order value, payment method, order history, coupon codes applied, and referral codes used.
Wishlist and preferences: products you save to your wishlist, and your app language preference.
Ratings and reviews: star ratings and comments you submit about shops or delivery partners, and ratings shops/delivery partners receive.
Referral information: a referral code you enter at sign-up, and whether you've used a first-order referral discount.
Business information (Partners): shop name, address, business documents (PAN, GST, FSSAI where applicable), and shop images.
Identity documents (Delivery Partners): Aadhar card, driving license, and vehicle registration certificate, for verification purposes.
Payment information: processed securely through our payment partner (Razorpay); we do not store your card or bank details.
Device and usage data: device identifiers, app usage patterns, and push notification tokens.

2. How We Use Your Information

To process and fulfil your orders, including matching you with nearby shops and delivery partners.
To provide real-time order tracking and delivery updates.
To verify pickup and delivery using one-time verification codes.
To verify the identity of shop owners and delivery partners during onboarding.
To process payments securely through our payment gateway partner.
To apply coupon discounts, referral discounts, and enforce their usage limits.
To display shop and delivery partner ratings to help you make informed choices.
To send order-related notifications, offers, and service announcements.
To improve our Services, troubleshoot issues, and prevent fraud or misuse.

3. Location Data

We collect location data to show you nearby shops, calculate delivery distance and charges, and allow delivery partners to be tracked live during an active delivery. Delivery partners' location is shared with the customer and shop only while an order is in progress.

4. Ratings and Reviews

When you rate a shop or delivery partner after an order is delivered, your name and rating may be visible to the shop owner or delivery partner, and your rating contributes to that shop's or delivery partner's publicly visible average rating shown to other customers.

5. Sharing of Information

We share information only as necessary to operate the Services:

With shop owners and delivery partners, to the extent needed to fulfil your order (e.g. delivery address, contact number).
With our technology partners, including Firebase (Google) for data storage and notifications, and Razorpay for payment processing.
With law enforcement or regulators, where required by law.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including secure cloud infrastructure and encrypted payment processing. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

8. Your Rights, Including Account Deletion

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. The KartX Customer app includes a self-service "Delete My Account" option in your Profile, which permanently removes your account, saved addresses, cart, wishlist, and notification history from our systems. This action cannot be undone.

Delivery partners and shop owners may also request removal of submitted documents once their account is closed, subject to legal record-keeping requirements. To request deletion outside the app, or for any other data request, contact us using the details below.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
