Delete Your Account

Steps to delete your BookX account and data.

You can delete your BookX account (app by MAK Services) and the personal data linked to it at any time.

Option 1: Delete from the app (instant)

  1. Open the BookX app and log in with your mobile number.
  2. Tap Profile in the bottom menu.
  3. Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm. Your account is deleted immediately and you are logged out.
Note: If you have an active order (new, confirmed or shipped), please complete it first. Account deletion is blocked until all your orders are finished.

Option 2: Request by email or WhatsApp

If you cannot use the app, send a request from your registered mobile number or email:

Include your registered mobile number and name. We may verify the request with a call or OTP. Requests are completed within 7 working days.

What is deleted

  • Your profile: name, email, address, location and UPI ID
  • Saved addresses and in-app notifications
  • Your unsold book listings (removed from BookX)
  • Your login (mobile number login is removed)

What we keep

  • Completed order, payment, refund and payout records: kept as long as required by Indian tax and accounting laws.
  • Chat messages you already sent and reviews you wrote: may remain visible to the other user.
